Just got done putting it in the oven, but the ingredients were super easy and quick to mix up! Just waiting to see if it turns out, which I expect it will. One thing I did different was that I put cinnamon and sugar on top, so it should be delicious! Can't wait to eat it.

This recipe is so easy and the best tasting. Used 4 bananas each for double batch. Baked for 50 minutes @350°F. After cooling for 15 minutes, wrapped in saran wrap. So moist and flavorful. Will use only this recipe.

For a unique twist fo parties you can deep fry the batter using a babyspoon. It makes great little doughnut holes.

Very tasty! I used 4 bananas & added 1/2 tsp cinnamon & 1/4 tsp vanilla. I also put it in an 8x8 glass pan since we misplaced the regular loaf pans. I cut the "loaf" in half, then sliced it up. Perfect pieces for the kids!! :)

Made this. Was so easy and simple! Wondering if I could substitute the bananas with other fruit and how to eliminate the the sugar since I'm pre-diabetic.

How can I make this with just 2 bananas?

 Jill (Kentucky) replies:
You could add an extra egg and/or some banana extract (I use Watkins) if you have it handy.

What a great banana bread! I happened to have 3 overripe bananas on hand and came across this recipe and thought, "Why not?" It was perfect for this snowy day, and tasted wonderful and had the house smelling like a bakery. I had it whipped up in about 5 minutes, and added a teaspoon of vanilla and a few shakes of cinnamon to the batter. (Next time I am definitely adding walnuts!) Halfway through the baking time, I sprinkled some raw (coarse) sugar over the top. After baking for an hour the bread was a lovely golden brown, and the sugar topping helped to create a crispy crust that really complimented the moist bread. This would make a nice (and economical) gift wrapped in a festive cloth or placed in a lined wicker basket--maybe even with the recipe handwritten on a card and attached with a colorful ribbon. A real bonus about this banana bread is it doesn't require vegetable oil, and you would never know that it's missing, either. I highly recommend this tasty recipe!
