VEGETABLE SALAD | |
1/2 c. cold water 1 env. unflavored gelatin 1/3 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. hot water 1/4 c. lemon juice 1 c. chopped celery 1 c. shredded cabbage 1/2 c. grated carrots 1 green pepper, chopped Pour cold water in bowl and sprinkle gelatin on top of water. Add sugar, salt, and hot water; stir until dissolved. Add lemon juice and mix well. Cool. When partly congealed, add celery, cabbage, carrots, and green pepper. Chill until firm. Yield: 6 servings. |
