3/4 c. butter
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2/3 c. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 c. water

Combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat on high speed 3 minutes.

In separate bowl combine flour, unsweetened cocoa, baking soda and baking powder. Add alternately with water to creamed mixture. Blend just until combined.

Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch layer pans or 1 (13x9) pan. Bake 25-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from pan after 10 minutes.
