4 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
3/4 c. water
Dash of salt

Cook on high in your microwave for 19 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. On the last 5 minute cycle beat 3 egg whites and then add sugar mixture with mixer on medium speed (large bowl is best). Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper and let set before storing in an airtight container.
