STRAWBERRY BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. of vanilla or almond extract
2 eggs, separated
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 baskets of fresh strawberries

Cream sugar and butter together. Add vanilla or almond extract. Mix in egg yolks. Mix dry ingredients with butter mixture alternating with strawberries. Beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Fold in egg whites and turn into a buttered loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes. Nice with coffee or tea.
