LASAGNA
1 lg. can Italian tomatoes
1 lg. can tomato paste and 1 can of water
1 green pepper, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 lg. can mushrooms, stems and pieces
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Salt and pepper
1 tsp. parsley
2 lbs. Ricotta or cottage cheese or 1 of each
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 boxes lasagna noodles
Shredded Mozzarella
Onion salt, garlic salt (or powders), oregano or whatever spices you like

Can use jar sauce if you wish.

Cook tomatoes, paste and water in a pan, add whatever seasonings you would like to use. Bring to boil and simmer for half an hour. (NOTE: Can use jar sauce if you wish.)

Saute beef, onions and green peppers until done and tender then drain.

In a bowl mix eggs, cheeses, salt and pepper and parsley and set aside.

Put a layer of sauce in a 13x9x2 inch pan (a thin layer). Lay your noodles in the bottom until the bottom is covered. (NO YOU DON'T NEED TO COOK YOUR NOODLES FIRST.) Cover the noodles with approximately 1/3 of the meat mixture, then cover the meat with 1/3 of the cheese mixture (about 1 tbsp., 3 tbsp. per noodle).

Cover with a layer of sauce and sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Repeat these steps - noodles, meat, cheese, sauce, cheese until the pan is full. Cook at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until noodles are tender.
