SCALLOPED TOMATOES | |
1 1/2 c. stale bread, coarse pieces 1/4 c. butter, melted 2 c. canned tomatoes 1 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. brown sugar Place bread in 9 inch baking dish, 2 inches deep. Pour butter over bread. Stir to coat. In a saucepan heat tomatoes, salt, and sugar to boiling. Pour over bread. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Serves 6. |
