RADIO HOMEMAKER SCALLOPED
TOMATOES
 
1/4 c. onion
1 tbsp. butter
2 c. toasted bread cubes
3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 (14.5 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
2 tbsp. brown sugar
Pepper to taste

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 1-quart casserole. Saute onion in butter until limp. Combine onion with bread cubes and crumbled bacon.

In separate bowl, combine tomatoes, brown sugar and pepper. Alternate the tomato and bread mixture in the casserole, finishing with bread cubes on top. Bake 20 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
