Bunch beets Onion SAUCE: 2 parts sugar 1 part vinegar 1 part water Salt Cook beets with skins without salt in large pan until fork tender. Cool. Peel and slice thin. Place in jars with onions. Pour hot sauce over sliced beets. SAUCE: Combine ingredients in saucepan. Boil. Recipe can be doubled. Makes 2 quarts. |
