BACON WRAPPED DATES 
Very quick, easy crowd pleaser. Smoky, sweet and crunchy.

1 to 2 lb. sliced bacon
1 lb. dates
1 to 2 pkgs. blanched almonds (skinless)
toothpicks

Slice bacon in half. Push one almond into each date using the hole the pit came from. Wrap each stuffed date with bacon and secure with a toothpick. All of which can be put into the refrigerator until the party/event.

To cook put into toaster oven or regular oven at 375°F until bacon is cooked (about 20 to 25 minutes) or longer if you want a little more crunch to the bacon.

Can be served at room temperature, but serving warm (small batches) or a hot tray is suggested. Pairs well with cheeses and white wines.
