CHOCOLATE PUFFBALLS | |
1 tablespoon butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 2 tablespoons cocoa 1/2 cup milk 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon vanilla Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg and beat. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well. Fill buttered baking or custard cups one half full. Use glass (Pyrex) cups if available. Steam in water for 15 to 20 minutes in an electric skillet set to 250°F to 300°F. Butter Sauce: 1 stick butter 3 tablespoons flour 1 cup sugar 2 cups water 2 teaspoons vanilla Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and sugar. Mix well. Add water and vanilla, cook and stir until thick.
