MOM'S OLD FASHIONED NUTS AND
BOLTS
 
1 lb. butter
1 pkg. Cheerios
1 pkg. Rice Chex and 1 pkg. Corn Chex (or substitute Crispix)
1 pkg. pretzel sticks
1 pkg. Chinese crackers
2 cans or 2 lg. pkgs. salted salted nuts (cashews)
2 cans mixed nuts or peanuts
1 tbsp. seasoning salt
1 tbsp. smoke flavored salt
1 tsp. marjoram
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. summer savory
1 tsp. onion powder

Place cereals in large baking pans. Melt butter in saucepan and add all spices. Spoon evenly over cereals. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes. Store in cool place.

Although I cut the garlic powder and onion powder in half...this is the finest recipe for Nuts and Bolts ever. Beats the Worcestershire sauce folks hands down. I have been making this recipe for 30 years and my mom has made it for over 50....enjoy...you'll get addicted.
