ELSIE'S MEATLOAF 
1-½ lbs. ground pork sausage
1-½ lbs. ground chuck
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 onion, chopped
garlic powder to taste
herbs to taste
½ pint sour cream
chili powder to taste
mix the above ingredients and shape into a loaf and place in a shallow roasting pan.
topping:
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
5 tablespoons ketchup
pinch of nutmeg

Mix topping and spread over meat loaf. Bake at 350° for one hour

Also good cold, thinly sliced

This recipe was pretty tasty. "Herbs to taste"? Since I'm not an experienced cook, I did not know what herbs and what quantities to add to maximize the flavor. Basil? sage? oregano? Some suggestions would be very much appreciated.

herbs to taste could be a teaspoon or more of Italian Seasoning, sage or oregano. your choice.
