1 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. beer 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. seasoned salt 1 egg 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour Oil for deep frying 2 lg. Spanish onions, cut into 1/2 to 1/4 inch slices Combine beer, baking powder, salt and egg in large bowl and blend. Gradually add flour, stirring well. Heat oil to 375 degrees. Separate onion slices into rings. Dip in batter, coating well. Fry until golden brown. Drain and serve while warm. |
