SAUSAGE AND CHEESE SURPRISE | |
8 slices firm white bread, decrusted & cubed 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated 2 lbs. link sausage 5 eggs 2 1/2 c. whole milk 3/4 tsp. dry mustard 1 can undiluted cream of mushroom soup 1/4 c. whole milk Place bread in a greased 8x12 inch pan. Top with grated cheese. Brown sausage, cut into thirds and place on top of cheese. Beat eggs and add 2 1/2 cups milk and dry mustard. Pour over sausage. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Before cooking, mix one can undiluted cream of mushroom soup with 1/4 cup whole milk. Pour over top and bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. |
