PRETZEL DESSERT 
2 1/2 c. coarsely crushed pretzels
3 tbsp. sugar
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
2 c. sliced strawberries
6 oz. strawberry Jello
8 oz. Cool whip
3/4 c. butter
2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. cold water

Cream butter and 3 tablespoons sugar. Add crushed pretzels. Press lightly into 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cream the cream cheese and sugar. Add whipped topping. Spread over cooled pretzel crust. Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Add cold water and strawberries. Let partially set. Pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate.

Variation: 2 cups hot pineapple juice may be substituted for 2 cups boiling water. Serves 15.
