VIRGINIA HAM LOAF | |
48 saltine crackers, finely crumbled 1 lb. cooked ham, ground 1/2 lb. lean pork, ground 1/2 lb. veal, ground 1/2 green pepper, chopped fine 1 med. onion, chopped fine 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. whole cloves Mix crackers, ham, pork, veal, green pepper and onions thoroughly. Add eggs and mix well. Pat brown sugar into the bottom of a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan and sprinkle with cloves. Add meat mixture. Bake approximately 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. Invert pan onto warm platter. Slice into thick slices for serving. Serves 8. |
