SOUR DOUGH ROLLS | |
WARNING: Do not use any metal utensils with this recipe! The night before you want to bake, mix together in a crock or glass bowl: 1 pkg. yeast 2 c. flour Let stand overnight in a warm place (85 degrees), covered with a wet cloth. The next day, add: 1/3 c. sugar 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 c. shortening or oil Flour (enough to be able to handle dough) Knead until ingredients are blended. (The more you knead, the better it is.) Divide the dough into 24 equal parts and roll into shape. Place in 2 oiled 9 x 13-inch pans. Cover with a wet cloth. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. |
