ANISE STICK COOKIES | |
2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2 eggs 2 drops anise oil (can use seeds) Blend dry ingredients. Cut in butter (can use mixer or processor). Stir in eggs and anise. (If necessary, finish process with hands to form balls of dough.) roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 4 x 1/2 inch sticks. Place on baking sheets. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. If desired, brush warm cookies with glaze of confectioners' sugar mixed with water. |
