PECAN STICKS (COOKIES) 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla, flour, and pecans. If dough seems too sticky, add more flour. Roll in palm of hands into shape of sticks. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Dough may be refrigerated if it seems to be too sticky to work with.
