45 Minute Sour Cream Banana Bread

There are some omissions in this that I had to guess at, such as what size pan, do you grease and flour the pan, does 45 minutes mean from mixing to done or how long it bakes, and when do you add in the salt?

I opted to spray a 9-inch square pan, add the salt with the flour mixture, and I also added 1/2 tsp of nutmeg, which is just meant to be with banana bread. It was done at 40 minutes.

The cinnamon/sugar mixture made a beautiful glaze on top that is delicious! Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Exactly what I was looking for! Flavorful, moist, nice texture, not overly sweet. I did not add the cinnamon/sugar mix at end...didn't understand if it was a topping or a mix-in. Instead, I doubled the recipe, added 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of nutmeg into sifted flour mixture and mixed with electric mixer on medium for 2 minutes before adding in nuts. I divided between 3 loaf pans and baked for 45 minutes in gas oven. Delicious!
