2/3 c. butter Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
18 popscicle sticks
Colored sugar
Saran wrap (colored)
Ribbon

Cream Crisco, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend well. Add milk to give better consistency. Shape into hearts or round for balloon shape (dough has consistency of play dough). Each should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Place on sheet, 2 inches apart. Insert popscicle stick through bottom of cookie (at least 2 inches into cookie). It will look like a sucker. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool; wrap in sheets of colored saran wrap and tie with ribbon. Colored sugar or sprinkles can be put on cookies for fun before baking.
