CINNAMON SPICED CARROT STICK
COOKIES
 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. maple syrup
1 egg
1 (4 oz.) container green glaze cherries, quartered
2 baby food jars (4 oz. each) strained carrots

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray. In bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and ginger. In mixing bowl with mixer on high speed, beat butter, sugar, and maple syrup until creamy. Beat in egg and carrots. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Spoon mixture into pastry bag fitted with round tip. Place dough in carrot shapes onto baking sheets. Place 2 cherry slices on each top. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until slightly browned around edges. Cool on wire rack.
