“DAD'S HOMEMADE PANCAKES” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  DIRT OR OREO CAKE

DAD'S HOMEMADE PANCAKES 
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine dry ingredients. Add milk, egg and oil. Mix until smooth. Heat non-stick pan over medium heat until water beads. Do not oil. Pour pancake mixture in 1/4 cup amounts. Turn when tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked. Remove from heat when pancake stops steaming.

HOMEMADE SYRUP:

1 cup water
1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
2 cup sugar

Bring water to boil. Add sugar and flavoring. Stir to dissolve. Cook 1-2 minutes stirring constantly.

These are the best pancakes ever. I used to buy Aunt Jemima Buttermilk complete but these have taken over my house. I have tried quite a few homemade recipes and these are the best. I do add a little vanilla. Thanks for sharing such an awesome recipe.

Well I'm out of mix, cabinets all most empty, only 1 cup of flour, 1 cup size 3 weeks past date carton of milk (taste test still good :) ), 3 cups of sugar, Now what can I make with this? I thought PANCAKES, so I looked up homemade pancakes and your recipe came up. Sir thank you. I loved the thrill of making my own pancakes. The only thing is next time will cut the salt in half. Came out just a tad bit salty, maybe because I hardly every use salt. Other then that was great. and the syrup was a hit.
