OATMEAL COOKIE CRISPIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. regular butter
2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking soda
6 c. rolled oats (quick)
1 1/2 c. flaked coconut

Cream butter, butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add to first mixture. Stir in rolled oats and coconut. Drop by teaspoonful, about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool on racks. Makes 12 dozen.
