APPLE COOKIES (GLAZED OR PLAIN) 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. ground pecans
1 c. finely chopped apples
1 c. raisins
1/4 c. milk

GLAZE:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 tbsp. milk

GLAZE: Mix until smooth.

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and blend thoroughly. Mix in half of the dry ingredients. Stir in pecans, apples and raisins. Stir in rest of dry ingredients and milk. Mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to cooling racks. Spread with glaze while still warm. Makes about 3 dozen.
