CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
7-8 sweet yams
3/4 c. white sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 sm. box raisins, optional
1/4-1/2 c. chopped pecans
Marshmallows
Butter
Vanilla

Peel and dice potatoes, boil until tender with white sugar and water. Place in casserole dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar, pecans (raisins). Put a few pats of butter on top and vanilla. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1/2 hours or 45 minutes. When done, cover top with marshmallows and brown. Watch closely or they will burn.
