STRAWBERRY JAM 
4 c. strawberries
4 c. sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Start with 2 cups berries and 2 cups sugar in large saucepan. Bring to boil and boil hard for 5 minutes. Add remaining 2 cups berries and 2 cups sugar and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from fire and add lemon juice. Pour into shallow glass cake pan and allow to set overnight. Every so often when you think of it, stir jam and mix as it cools. The next morning, put jam into freezer cartons and freeze. Keeps a long, long time.
