LORNA DOONES' SCOTCH SHORTBREAD | |
1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 c. confectionery sugar 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla On wax paper sift or mix well with a fork the first three ingredients. In large bowl, mix 1/2 cup butter and 1 tsp. vanilla on medium speed. Add flour mixture and beat until well blended. Shape into acorn size balls. Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in a preheated 300°F oven until edges are lightly brown. Cool, store in tight container. Makes 36. |
