ONION CASSEROLE
This is a real crowd pleaser!

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, divided
6 onions, sliced
1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
salt and pepper, to taste
12 oz. grated Swiss cheese
french bread, sliced

Preheat over to 350°F. Butter 2-quart shallow baking dish.

Melt 1/4 cup butter in large sauté pan. Add onions and cook until tender stirring frequently, about 15 minutes. Add onions and juices to prepared casserole dish.

Combine soup, milk and salt & pepper in a mixing bowl and pour over the top of onions and sprinkle with grated Swiss cheese. Melt remaining 1/4 cup butter in pan and dip thinly sliced French bread on one side and arrange sliced bread over onions to cover completely.

Bake at 350°F until bread is slightly brown and casserole is bubbling, about 30 minutes. Enjoy!!
