PEACH COBBLER | |
2 c. sliced peaches 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. milk 4 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. flour TOPPING: 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt Combine sugar and butter. Add other dry ingredients alternately with milk. Place sliced peaches in bottom of well buttered 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Pour batter over peaches. Sift on topping and pour 1 cup boiling water over all. Bake for 50 minutes at 325 degrees. Good with blueberries, strawberries and rhubarb too. |
