ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. parsley
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. meat tenderizer
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf

In large pan, brown meat, then drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients, and simmer uncovered for at least two hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf, and serve over hot spaghetti. (The longer it cooks, the better).
