CONNECTICUT BEEF BAKE 
2 lb. beef stew meat
1/4-1/2 c. onion
2 tbsp. oil
Potatoes (enough to cover meat), sliced
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 c. sour cream
1 1/4 c. milk
Salt & pepper to taste
Rice Krispies & Cheddar cheese

Brown meat and onion to oil. Add 1 cup water. Simmer 1 hour. Place in 13 x 9 inch pan. Cover with sliced potatoes. Combine soup, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over potatoes. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and Rice Krispies. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Bake with cover for first hour. This dish may be prepared the day before. Refrigerate overnight then bake.
