ALMOND MACAROON BARS 
CRUMB MIXTURE:

1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter

FILLING:

1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. toasted slivered almonds

Combine all crumb mixture ingredients. Beat at low speed until particles are fine. Press into ungreased 13"x9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Meanwhile, combine all filling ingredients except coconut and almonds. Beat until well mixed. Stir in coconut and almonds. Pour filling over hot crust. Return to oven; continue baking 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
