WHITE CASTLE HAMBURGERS 
1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground round
1 egg
1 pkg. Mrs. Grass onion soup mix
6 slices American cheese
1 pkg. Pepperidge Farm party rolls (20 in a pkg.)

Mix together first 3 items and press in a 9x13 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Melt 6 slices American cheese on top. Slice rolls in half. Lay tops on top of cheese. Cut according to size of rolls. Put dill pickle slice on bottom part of roll. Scoop out of pan and put bottom of roll on bottom of hamburger.

I'm sorry,but Classic White Castle Burgers don't have cheese on them.Ground round is much too lean by itself. Add 1/3 lb. quality beef fat, such as from trimming steaks or prime rib. No onion soup mix, Try simple square dinner rolls. Use bland generic dill pickles. Keep it fast and easy.

i personally like the cheeseburgers, however don't think onion soup mix will cut it. would be better (if ya can get em pattied out thin enough) to poke holes and grill on flat iron on top of minced onion & water.
