MARGARET'S SPECIAL K BARS 
2 c. white sugar
2 c. white Karo syrup
3 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
12 c. Special K cereal

FROSTING:

12 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
2 tbsp. butter

Heat sugar and Karo syrup to dissolve and beat with spoon until smooth. Beat in peanut butter and vanilla until well blended. Pour over cereal and stir again. Pack in buttered pan. Melt chips and butter in double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. Spread over top of bars. Cut while warm.
