4 delicious apples
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. lemon peel, grated
1/2 c. cider

Peel, core and cut apples into eighths. Combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Add apples, cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Remove cover and simmer again for 5 minutes, turning frequently to glaze. Makes four servings.
