MORRIS' CLAM CHOWDER | |
1 1/2 c. diced potatoes 1 1/2 c. diced carrots 1 1/2 c. diced celery 1 1/2 c. diced onion 3/4 c. diced green pepper 1/2 lb. minced clam 1/2 lb. diced crisp fried bacon Cook until tender; set aside. Combine 3/4 cup melted butter (butter) and 3/4 cup flour. Slowly add 1 quart half & half. Cook until this begins to thicken. Add to above and simmer 30 minutes (undiluted canned evaporated milk can be used in place of half & half). |
