7 - MINUTE FROSTING 
2 egg whites
1/2 c. Karo Red Label syrup (light or white)
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler. Place over rapidly boiling water and cook, beating constantly with rotary beater until frosting stands in peaks, about 3 or 4 minutes.

Remove from heat and continue beating about 1 minute longer. Add flavoring and mix well.

Makes enough to cover tops and sides of two 8 or 9-inch layers.
