1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 oz. chocolate chips

Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla together. Stir in flour and salt until dough is well blended. Spread in jelly roll pan, greased. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until nicely browned. Crust will be soft. Remove from oven and immediately place chocolate chips on top. Let stand until chips soften, then spread evenly over surface. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut bar-size while still warm.
