1 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg yolk and vanilla. Add flour and salt. Spread with palm of hand on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate bits over top and put back in heat. Spread as they melt and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
