MOM'S OATMEAL MOLASSES COOKIES 
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. quick-rolled oats

Beat shortening, eggs, sugar, and molasses. Sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture. Add oatmeal. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven, 10 minutes. Allow to stand a few minutes before removing from cookie sheet. 5 dozen cookies.
