OATMEAL MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cloves

Stir together in mixing bowl.

1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
3/4 c. quick cooking oats

Add and stir until smooth. Stir in oatmeal.

Drop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Allow to stand at room temperature a few minutes before removing to wire racks to cool. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
