SKILLET SPANISH RICE | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. minced onion 1 stalk celery, chopped 2 tbsp. brown sugar Pinch of oregano 2 1/2 c. rice (Minute rice) 1 jar (qt.) tomato juice Brown meat, salt, pepper, onion and celery in skillet (or electric fry pan). Add rice and brown a little. Add tomato juice, brown sugar and oregano. Cover and cook until thick, about 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes. |
