CABBAGE BAKE 
6 slices bacon
1 c. rice, uncooked
1 sm. head cabbage
1 lg. onion, diced
1 1/2 lb. lean hamburger
Shredded cheese
2 cans tomato paste or tomato soup
2 c. water

Saute bacon, remove from pan, add onion and cook; drain excess grease. Add rice and hamburger. Cook until hamburger is browned. Shred cabbage; in 9 x 13 inch pan layer cabbage and meat mixture. Pour sauce over top. Cut bacon into small pieces, place cheese and bacon on top of layered mixture. Bake at 350 degrees covered for 50 minutes. Bake 10 to 15 minutes more uncovered. Par - boil cabbage for quicker cooking time.
