SCALLOPED BAKED CABBAGE 
1 med. head cabbage
1/2 c. sugar or to taste
butter
1 pkg. saltine crackers
Milk

Cut up cabbage and spread out in 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Crush crackers and layer over cabbage. Sprinkle sugar over cabbage/cracker mixture. (NOTE: You can substitute brown sugar and sweeten to your taste.) Pour enough milk over mixture so you can just see the milk -- do not use too much milk. Cut small squares of butter and place on top. Bake in 350 degree oven until browned, about 1 1/2 hours.
