WALNUT STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/2 c. butter 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 lg. eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. milk 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. chopped walnuts Blend cheese, butter, sugar and add eggs and vanilla, mixing until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and soda with first mixture. Mix well; fold in chopped walnuts. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. TOPPING FOR COFFEE CAKE: 1/2 c. flour 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Cut in 1/4 cup butter until coarse crumbs form. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Sprinkle on top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm. |
