SAND TARTS 
5 c. flour
1 2/3 c. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separate whites of 3 to wash on cookies

If eggs are not sufficient to wet dough, add 1 tablespoon cream and make as stiff as pie pastry. Roll out dough and cut into shapes. Wash with egg whites. Decorate.
