SAND TARTS (German Style) 
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. butter
2 eggs, well beaten
4 eggs
1 egg white (slightly beaten)
Ground nuts
Colored sugar
Nutmeg

Cream butter and sugar together. Slowly add flour working it in well. Add well-beaten eggs and mix thoroughly. Chill overnight. Roll out thin on lightly floured board. Brush cookies with egg white. Sprinkle with sugar, nutmeg or ground nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
