OLD FASHIONED BEAN SOUP | |
1 lb. dry navy beans (soak overnight) 2 qts. water 1 lb. meaty ham bones or pieces Salt to taste 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. chopped celery leaves 1 med. onion, chopped 1 bay leaf (optional) Put all ingredients in crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours (high 5 to 6 hours). Makes 2 1/2 quarts. |
